Captain Ste Rawsthorne converted a last minute try by Sean Forber to inflict the first league defeat of Bank Quay in over 18 months. The final score of 40-38 relects the exciting rugby played a City Road this afternoon. |

| First Team Make Final 1st Nov 2008 |
The first team have made the BARLA Lancashire Cup Final, after a convincing 44 - 8 victory over Widnes Moorfield in todays semi-final. They will face Halton Simms Cross in a repeat of the NWC Premier final in April. The final is due to be played over Christmas, with the 27th December the likely date. | Congratulations to Tom Connick. Tom has made the GB Community Lion Under 18's Squad. The team will play a game against France in Marseille and face the Australian Institute of Sport during their tour of the UK. |
| Half Term Training 22 Oct 2008 |
Nick Ashall is holding coaching sessions for junior players during the half term holidays. Nick is looking to recruit any players that are in Year 7, however, children of all ages are welcome. The sessions will be held everyday at City Road, starting at 12:00pm |
| Open Age player Adam Fogarty has been selected to play for the British Police in the upcoming World Cup. Adam is to travel Down Under with the squad. Adam has had to fund the tour himself and through fundraisers. A final fundraiser is to be held in the form of a Race Night on Saturday 25th Oct. The event is to be held at the Black Horse pub in Moss Bank starting at 8pm. Everybody is welcome and any support will be appreciated. |
